Custom Designs
Announcing a new, cooperative feature: Custom designed ketubbot. Lisa Rohde's nephew, Binyamin, a talented artist, is joining By Lisa's Hand to create one-of-a-kind designs for ketubbot. You specify what theme(s) you want included in the design and Binyamin will incorporate them for you. Then, Lisa will calligraph your text.
The pictures below show the stages through which a custom designed Ketubbah is worked. In this case, the couple requested a tree separating the Hebrew and English text blocks. They wanted birds and flowers in the design and they wanted the text "Ani ledodi vedodi li" (I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine) incorporated into the design.
1. Initial sketch of a tree, with printout of the Ketubbah texts on each side and potential design text above.
2. Central artwork completed, with initial formatting of texts printed and placed (we plan to add flowers in the grass once the calligraphy is completed)
